Privacy
Short version: your answers never leave your browser. There are no accounts, no passwords, and taking a test never asks for an email.
What we do not collect
- No accounts, no sign-in, no password.
- No email address required to take a test or to see a result.
- No answers or results are transmitted to or stored on our servers.
- No name, address, phone number or payment details are handled by us directly.
What stays on your device
The site uses your browser's own storage for a few small things, all of which stay on your device:
- Language preference — remembered in
localStorageso the site opens in the language you chose. - Progress within a test — kept in
sessionStorageso that refreshing the page mid-test does not lose your answers. It is cleared when you finish the test or close the tab. - A "already counted" flag — one short word in
sessionStorageso that refreshing a page does not count the same visit twice. It contains no numbers about you; it is only a yes/no. - Nothing else. No advertising identifiers, no cross-site tracking cookies.
You can clear all of this at any time through your browser's settings. Nothing is lost except your language preference and any unfinished test.
Server logs and hosting
Like every website, the hosting provider that serves these pages may record standard technical request data — IP address, browser type, the page requested, and the time. This is used for security and for keeping the site online, and it is not linked to your answers, because your answers never reach the server.
Analytics
We count four things and nothing else: that someone arrived, that a test was finished, that the three closing questions were answered and the unlock button woke up, and that a purchase produced a report. Each of those is a bare tally for the day — a page with one number on it. There is no cookie, no identifier, no per-person record, no time spent, no scrolling, no mouse movement, and nothing that could ever be joined back to you or to the answers you gave.
The tallies are kept by a small free public counter service, which sees the same kind of request any web server would see when it hands over a page. We use it instead of a tracking script on purpose: a number that cannot be joined to a person is a number we are willing to hold, and the whole purpose is one — knowing which tests are worth making more of. If that service is unreachable the counting simply does not happen, and nothing on the site behaves differently.
Purchases
Paid materials are sold through a third-party checkout provider. When you buy, you are transacting with that provider under their terms and privacy policy — they handle your payment details, and we never see your card information. We may receive a confirmation that a purchase occurred, which includes an email address for receipt purposes. That address is used to deliver the product and handle support requests; if you also ask us to email you the report, it goes onto the mailing list described above. It is never sold or shared for marketing.
Email, if you give it
Taking a test still never asks for an address, and no result is ever sent anywhere. But at the end of a result you may leave one, and after buying you may ask us to email the report to you. Both are optional, and both are the same thing underneath: your address goes onto our mailing list, which is run for us by an email service, and you get what you asked for — this result, or the report, and a short note now and then. Every message carries an unsubscribe link, and one click is all it takes. Your address is never sold, and never passed to anyone else.
The report we email you is a link that carries your own answers inside it. That link is the only thing about your answers that the email service ever holds, and it holds it for one reason: to put it in the message. Opening the link rebuilds the report on whichever device you open it on. There is no database of results on our side, and the mailing list has none either.
Sensitive subjects
We know that what you answer here is personal. That is precisely why the tests are built to run entirely in your browser. There is no database of responses to leak, subpoena or sell, because no such database exists.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Your choices
Because we do not collect personal data through the tests, there is usually nothing to request, correct or delete. If you have purchased something and want your order handled differently, contact us and we will do what we can, subject to what the checkout provider retains.
