Disclaimer
Please read this before you take a test, and again if a result affects you.
Deadpan is not a healthcare provider. Nothing on this site is medical, psychological, psychiatric or therapeutic advice, and nothing on this site creates a professional relationship of any kind.
1. These tests are not diagnostic
Every result is a description of self-reported behaviour, shaped into a pattern. None of it assesses, screens for, rules out, confirms or implies any clinical condition — including but not limited to any personality disorder, trauma response, mood disorder, or neurodevelopmental condition.
No score, result name, band or trait breakdown is a clinical finding. Results are generated by simple arithmetic on the answers you gave, nothing more.
2. Not a tool for assessing other people
If you take a test while thinking about a parent, partner, colleague or ex, the result describes your experience and your reactions. It is not evidence about them, it cannot establish what anyone else is, and it should never be shown to someone as proof of anything about them.
Using these tests to label, confront, diagnose or accuse another person is a misuse of the product and is expressly discouraged.
3. Not a substitute for professional support
If you are in distress, if you are in an unsafe situation, if you are experiencing thoughts of self-harm, or if a result here brings up material that feels too heavy to carry alone, please contact a qualified professional or a local emergency service. Do not use this site in place of that.
If you are outside your own country or unsure who to contact, a search for your national mental health helpline is a reasonable first step.
4. Accuracy, and how much to trust a result
These tests have not been validated against clinical instruments or normative samples. They are written to be recognisable and useful, not psychometrically calibrated. Results can be affected by your mood on the day, by how literally you read a question, and by the human tendency to find any description of ourselves somewhat accurate.
Treat every result as a hypothesis worth testing against your own experience. You are the authority on your own life, not the test.
5. Purchased materials
Paid materials — extended breakdowns, scripts and worksheets — are self-reflection and educational content. They are not therapy, not a treatment plan, and not a promise of any outcome. We never claim that any product cures, treats, fixes or resolves any condition or relationship.
6. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Deadpan and its operators accept no liability for any decision, action or outcome arising from use of this site or of any material purchased through it. You use this site at your own discretion and risk.
7. Content updates
This page may be updated. The version published here at the time of your visit is the version that applies.
